About Us

We are very pleased to announce we are open for 2023.

You can pay for the ticket/s by card or cash at the gate on arrival.  There is no need to book in advance.

You are most welcome to bring a picnic as there are many tables and chairs in the Picnic/Play Area.

Come and meet all of the wonderful characters down at the farm.  You’ll find the funniest looking Llamas and some adorable baby Crias. There are also Alpacas, famous for their super soft fleeces. And if that isn’t enough,  there are a range of small, dinky animals, such as; Pygmy Goats, Micro Pigs, and Miniature Ponies.  Not forgetting the majestic Horses, as well as the sweetest Donkeys you’ll ever meet.   You can  meet and feed an impressive mixture of feathered friends, including Emus, Peacocks, Geese, and Ducks too!

There are lots of animals to see at the farm, and if you’re lucky, you might get the chance to handle the Ducklings and Goslings, when they’re just a few days old, or bottle-feeding the lambs in the Spring/Summer time.

The animals here are looked after by staff, working with volunteers and local college students who study either Agriculture or Animal Care. We offer study placements/visits to Veterinary Medicine students from Universities (currently Nottingham University & Cambridge University).  We have a placement of a mature student who is studying for a Master Degree for Veterinary Physiotherapy.

PICNIC AREA

You can find out about the variety of breeds and all the different foods these animals like to eat.  And if you’re feeling hungry yourself, you’re more than welcome to bring a packed lunch or picnic… we don’t have any catering facilities, but we have several seating areas should you wish to take a break and have a snack while you take in the surroundings.

Tostock Animal Parks c.i.c is a registered community interest company .

Assisting community’s understanding and interaction with alpacas/llamas livestock farming industry.

Facilitating visits from members in the community, so that they may have first-hand knowledge of the welfare of the livestock, thus reduce hostility or anxiety about livestock farming.

Facilitating young people and people with Learning disabilities or mental health issues, the opportunity of supervised visiting placement at livestock farm/s, as part of the community engagement.

We work in partnership with other charities/organisations to host their staff/clients for supervised placements of young people. We offer activities to families in local BAME community and Women’s Refuge.

We have offered volunteering opportunity to some young people who suffered from social anxiety, they find much easier to be outdoors with plenty of space and not to be closed in with too many people  around them, but they still feel part of a team here, sharing the tasks in the care of the animals.
